D2C Brand Growth

From 10 Orders To
1,500+ Orders

How we built a content-led growth system across Meta Ads, Shopify and CRO to turn a D2C personal-care brand with limited traction into a business generating 1,500+ orders with an AOV above ₹400.

We had a Product & Category. What we didn't have was enough data to start with.

The brand had generated around 10 orders in its first six months. Rather than making assumptions about what would drive growth, we first created a way to understand the audience, content and website behaviour.

What content were people responding to?
Which pages were attracting attention?
How many visitors were adding to cart?
Where were users dropping off?
Which products generated intent?
What was actually converting?

We Built The Funnel Before We Pushed The Scale.

The first ₹10K on Meta was used across Awareness, Engagement and Traffic campaigns rather than going straight into Sales. This gave us a stronger understanding of what people responded to and what happened once they reached the website.

01
Awareness Build initial reach
02
Engagement Understand content response
03
Traffic Study website behaviour
04
Sales Scale what proved itself

We Used The First ₹10K To Understand Where Customers Were Dropping Off.

The traffic phase helped us measure the complete website journey instead of looking at ad metrics in isolation.

01
Session Who landed?
02
Landing Page Where did they enter?
03
Add to Cart Who showed intent?
04
Checkout Who continued?
05
Purchase Who converted?
Session → Add to Cart Rate

Measured how much of the incoming traffic showed product intent.

Add to Cart → Checkout Rate

Measured how many high-intent users continued towards payment.

Checkout → Purchase Rate

Measured the final conversion gap and helped identify drop-offs.

We Understood That More Traffic Wasn't The Answer. Better Conversion Was.

The data showed that the website needed to communicate the products more clearly and reduce friction for new visitors.

Product Detail Page

  • Reworked product information hierarchy so key buying information was easier to understand.
  • Improved product imagery and the way benefits and usage were communicated.
  • Added stronger conversion-focused sections to answer common purchase questions.

Homepage

  • Improved the first impression and clarified what the brand and products offered.
  • Made product discovery simpler for new visitors coming from paid campaigns.
  • Restructured information so users could understand the proposition faster.

Bundle Offers

  • Created bundles to encourage customers to purchase more than one product.
  • Used bundles to increase AOV while improving inventory movement.
  • Particularly useful because the natural products had approximately one year of shelf life.

We Focused On What People Wanted To See, Not Just What The Brand Wanted To Say.

Instead of building every ad around ingredients, benefits and USPs, we created content around problems, situations, education and product usage.

Problem-led Content

Started with the customer's situation, question or problem instead of immediately leading with the product.

Educational Content

Made the product easier to understand through simple, useful and relatable content.

Product In Context

Showed how the product fits into a real routine and where it solves a specific need.

Creative Variety

Used different hooks, formats, videos and static concepts to create more opportunities to find winners.

We Didn't Just Increase Orders. We Changed The Scale Of The Business.

The growth was measured against where the brand started, not just against a previous month.

More Visitors Gave Us More Data To Keep Improving.

The website moved from extremely limited traffic to a scale where we could continuously analyse customer behaviour and feed those learnings back into campaigns and CRO.

Growth Isn't About Running More Ads. It's About Building Better Systems.

Content created the learning. Data showed us where to look. CRO helped us convert more of the demand. And the combination gave us a foundation to scale.
